Amount changes on Voucher modification

Recently, we found a weird thing in Tally ERP 9. After importing data from Excel into Tally using udi-Magic, when we modified the Voucher, the Item-Amount changed. On scrutiny we found something that surprised us. Here's are the steps to reproduce the same.

Scenario 1 (Amount changes when Voucher is modified)
We uploaded a Sales Voucher from Excel into Tally using udi-Magic. You can use any Sales template provided with udi-Magic Software having the following values :

Item-Name : Bush free
Qty : 200
Amount : 34367.29

PS:
1) Do not enter the Item-Rate in XLS. Let Tally compute it automatically.
2) You can enter Party-Name and other details in XLS as required.
3) Import the XLS Sales data using udi-Magic and then try modifying it manually in Tally. The Item-amount changes to 34368.

Scenario 2 (Amount does NOT change when Voucher is modified - Correct scenario)
Next, we created another Company in Tally and  uploaded one Sales Voucher from Excel into Tally using udi-Magic. You can use the same XLS template having the following values :

Item-Name : Bush Free
Qty : 200
Amount : 34367.29
PS:
1) Do not enter the Item-Rate in XLS. Let Tally compute it automatically.
2) You can enter Party-Name and other details in XLS as required.
3) Import the XLS Sales data using udi-Magic and then try modifying it manually in Tally. The Item-amount does NOT change now.

Observation
In the Voucher modification mode, Tally re-calculates the Item-Amount if :
1) Item-Name is changed; or
2) Item-Qty is changed; or
3) Item-Rate is changed.

In Scenario 1 / Company 1, the Item-Name gets changed from "Bush free" to "Bush Free" automatically when we modify the Voucher. The forces re-calculation of Item-Amount.

The above does NOT happen in Scenario 2 (Company 2) as the Item-Name is already in Proper-case. i.e. Bush Free.

Proper-case / Title Case
If you are still not clear, then read on.

Create a new Company in Tally. Next, create (manually) a new Stock Item in Tally with name as "piston free". Notice that Tally changes it to proper-case/title-case as  "Piston Free". Though this conversion happens when we type the Item-Name manually in Tally, it does not happen when the data is imported using an external program. This creates problem and changes the Item-amount when we modify the Voucher.

To handle this situation, we will be coming out with a new release of udi-Magic and the details shall be put on this site shortly.
