Free Support Services period - Why 90 days and not 1 year ?

Why the FREE Support period is only for 90 days and not 1 Year ? - Often Customers ask us this question. (PS: In most of the cases, the question is raised only after expiry of the 90 days).

This post is an attempt to put forth our views on this subject matter.

Shweta Softwares launched its products and  tools for Tally Integration in 2007. Since then (i.e. from the very first day), we have been following the same policy i.e. FREE Support Services with product sale for 90 days. After 90 days, the Customer must go for AMC if they need support services.This is mentioned clearly at our web-site http://www.rtslink.com/orderinfo.html

On 18th March, 2011, an email was sent by Tally Solutions, Bangalore to all their Partners. This email contained some guidelines which we had put up at http://tdlplayground.blogspot.com/2011/03/guidelines-for-tally-customization.html. Even these guidelines clearly specify that to maintain code compatibility, the Customers must enter into AMC which is generally 30% and is payable 90 days after go alive.

UDIMagic v3.0 support to be discontinued from 1st April 2012

UDIMagic v3.0 customers / users are requested to note that the support for UDIMagic v3.0 shall be discontinued from 1st April 2012 and there shall be no product enhancements in UDIMagic v3.0 thereafter.

To avail technical support and product enhancements, users must upgrade to UDIMagic v4.0.

Tally terminates while uploading data using UDIMagic

Tally terminates / closes when data is being uploaded using UDIMagic v4.0


Solution
Start UDIMagic and click on the Settings button (wizard 2ndscreen). Next, set the value for UNICODE to NO. Save the settings and retry importing data into Tally

In case of large data-size uploads, support shall be restricted to maximum of two times test-uploading of 10000 rows of data (per license) and if any data inconsistencies are found, the same shall be intimated to the Client. It shall be the Client's responsibility to ensure that the data is consistent.
